Sugar Momma’s Bakery & Cafe

I love sweets.

That is not a secret, for sure. A few weeks ago at Ada Farmer’s Market, I stopped by the Sugar Momma’s booth. My kids and I were out on a hot day, and we needed a treat.

I stood there pondering my choices – they all looked so good! I finally settled on a classic – chocolate chip cookies. They came in a pack of two, which worked out well because I intended to share with my kids. I can’t say the split was fair, though. It was the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had.

Sugar Momma’s is owned by Haley, a Forest Hills Central grad and certified pastry chef. After high school, Haley went to GRCC’s culinary arts program and earned her Baking and Pastry Arts certificate. Her resume boasts experience at Egypt Valley Country Club, Alpen Rose, and Nantucket Bakery. After years of hard work, Haley saved up enough money to open up her own bakery, and Sugar Momma’s Bakery & Cafe was born.

You can visit Sugar Momma’s at their storefront in Cascade or every Tuesday at the Ada Farmer’s Market. Stop by and try something from their vast assortment of goodness – cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes, cupcakes, coffee, tea, smoothies, iced drinks, Italian sodas, and more.

Inside Sugar Momma’s you’ll find plenty of space to set up shop and hang for a while. Not a bad option on a hot day.

Finally, join Haley and her team as they celebrate their one-year anniversary Wednesday, August 8 from 5 – 7 pm. Sample drinks, food and pastries and enter for a chance to win a gift card.
