CAMP ROGER FIELD TRIP DETAILS

We have two campuses to explore: Camp Roger (Rockford) and Camp Scottie (Howard City). Over 300 acres of woods and wetlands provide the opportunity for students to spend a day in the beautiful outdoors any time of the year.

Outdoor Education is available at both campuses. With over 30 different curriculum options, educators can choose programming specific to their goals and student development. Environmental education activities could include Michigan studies, tree identification, invasive plants, survival techniques, orienteering skills, or historical simulations. A one-day field trip session provides the opportunity to rotate through multiple activities. Schools could even choose to schedule field trips in different seasons or an overnight camp.

Camp Roger

Building activities at Camp Roger and Camp Scottie provide physical and mental challenges which promote improved critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. This creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation within a positive and supportive environment.

Another field trip option from Camp Roger is the Adventure Course. Experienced instructors will work with students on a high ropes course, thrilling 300-foot zip line, or a 30-foot climbing tower. These activities challenge and unite groups through shared experiences.

Camp Roger

A nine-month Homeschool Program is available for students at either Camp Roger or Camp Scottie. Through project-based and place-based learning, students positively interact with God’s creation and with each other. Environmental educational opportunities could include water study, invasive species, historical simulations, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, and many other engaging activities.

We are always excited to work directly with teachers, administrators, or group leaders to create unique and meaningful experiences for your group.
