Grand Rapids has a lot to celebrate. We’re a great place to raise a family, we have ArtPrize, and now we have a really cool indoor market.

Enter Celebration on the Grand. Celebration on the Grand is a 2-day festival put on by loads of volunteers, local businesses and philanthropists the weekend after Labor Day each year.

IT’S FAMILY FRIENDLY

Today, festivities start at 5pm with Taste of Celebration on Monroe Center. There will be a variety of food vendors and live music at Rosa Parks Circle til 11:30pm- with a break for the fireworks around 9:30pm. Live music at Ah-Nab-Awen Park (by the Ford Museum) will also greet you this evening.

FIREWORKS!

Fireworks are at dusk. Get your spot early if you can… some favorite places to watch from are:

  • the lawn in front of the Gerald R. Ford Museum
  • the Blue Bridge
  • Pearl Street Bridge (after it is closed to traffic)

COME BACK SATURDAY FOR FAMILY FEST

Family Fest starts at noon on Saturday (Sept 7) in Ah-Nab-Awen Park.

Some of the things going on include:

  • a grkids.com tent- so we can meet YOU, help you enter our amazing giveaway and hand out bumper stickers (while they last!)
  • Inflatables and Bouncy Things
  • Carnival Games
  • Carnival Food Trailers and Kettle Corn
  • Flying Tigers (Trampoline Performers)
