#momboss Places Moms can get Work Done – With the Kids!
Working moms, work-at-home moms, stay-at-home moms, part-time “all the things” moms. Every kind of mom is a #momboss. And every mom needs a place to get some work done that isn’t the kitchen table!
As a work-at-home mom, I write most of my Grand Rapids Kids articles at the kitchen table. With an active three year old at home I do my best to juggle both, but in between writing I am building LEGO cars and making mountains out of kinetic sand. And doing so usually ends up with us both frustrated with little accomplished.
Nowadays, I plan a block of time when I can work at a table at Chick-fil-A while he zooms around their colorful play structure. It gives me a chance to concentrate on my writing while I know he is engaged and having fun.
When we plan our time like this, play time at the kitchen table is way more enjoyable when I can focus solely on him and our LEGO creations.
If you need to get some work done with kids in tow, here are our tried and true spots to go when deadlines approach.
