The Snow is Still Good in Northern Michigan
It seems impossible that just a few hours’ drive north there is snow for skiing, but it’s true. All winter long, Crystal Mountain has been blessed with plenty of lake effect and regular snow. When we visited in January, it snowed for 3 days straight- no exaggeration. Enough so, that even the recent warmer temps and rain have not stopped skiing. In fact, Crystal Mountain plans to be skiing through March this year- another good 5 weeks on the slopes.
If you don’t believe they still have snow, take a look at their web cam. I promise you, it’s full of the white stuff.
