HSRT is passionate about working with the next generation of theatre lovers, teaching them all aspects of theatre production.

HSRT Workshops Have Something for All Ages

For the littles, workshops let kids communicate through drawing, creative movement, singing, dancing, and imaginative play. Kids as young as three can unleash their inner dragon while kids up to second grade learn and perform a dance number from “The Wiz.”

Elementary-school-aged kids have the chance to write, direct, and perform their own theatre piece in “Fractured Fairy Tales.” Or, let your middle-schooler go silly and learn the art of improv!

High schoolers delve more deeply into the theatre arts. Young adults learn from experienced actors, directors and playwrights about professional performance. Workshops concentrate on going deeper into learning skills and a chance to learn real theatre experience.

Workshops range from $100 to $350 and take place at Hope College’s DeWitt Student Cultural Center. Check out all the information and register here.
