Kingman Museum and Leila Arboretum Offers Field Trips for Kids
Kingman Museum has brought natural history to school children since 1871. Located inside the beautiful 80 acre Leila Arboretum, we have a unique hands on education experience with lots of space to explore for all ages.
KINGMAN MUSEUM AND LEILA ARBORETUM FIELD TRIP DETAILS
Two field trips in one! Visit Kingman Museum to step into the world of dinosaurs, explore the universe in our planetarium, take a closer look at planet Earth, and examine animals of the past and present. Then learn how plants grow and adapt at Leila Arboretum’s Kaleidoscope Garden and Fantasy Forest. Programs available all year long using the garden and greenhouse as your classroom.
At Leila Arboretum’s Kaleidoscope Garden, like the popular children’s toy, our garden is always changing — highlighting different colors, shapes, and experiences as the seasons progress. Through interactive lessons and by getting their hands a little dirty, students will take a closer look at how plants grow, adapt, and evolve.
THE EARTH, OUTER SPACE AND DINOSAURS!
At the always evolving Kingman Museum, students will take a walk through Michigan habitats, get an up-close look at how the human body works, and see exotic animals and insects of the world with the use of an engaging scavenger hunt. Schedule a class and explore the past, present, and future with activities investigating dinosaurs, outer space, and our own planet Earth. Choose from 20 different planetarium shows and see a night sky talk.
