Klackle Orchards Offer Field Trips for Kids
Come to Klackle Orchards for fall fun! Enjoy a wagon ride through the orchard, pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, have donuts and cider, and take time to explore the petting zoo and other activities in Klackleville!
KLACKLE ORCHARDS FIELD TRIP DETAILS
Your class, daycare or homeschool group will have a blast learning about apples and pumpkins, and enjoying their day on our 300 acre, 4th generation family farm!
All field trips begin with a short, age-appropriate, and interactive educational presentation about the seasons of the orchard and life-cycles of apples and pumpkins. Our tour guides will discuss what happens in the orchard, and to the trees, during each season of the year; the different development stages of apples and pumpkins; the nutritional benefits of fresh fruit and vegetables; and how to properly pick apples and pumpkins.
WAGON RIDES, DONUTS AND CIDER
After the educational presentation, each group takes a wagon ride through our 300 acre apple orchard and pumpkin patches to pick a quarter peck of apples and a small pumpkin for each person to take home.
Enjoy a homemade apple donut (allergy- friendly alternatives are available!) and a glass of freshly-pressed apple cider after the wagon ride. Groups are welcome to bring sack lunches to eat with their cider and donuts in a reserved area.
Groups are then encouraged to take a ride on the antique carousel, visit the goats, rabbits and chickens in our petting zoo, and explore all of the other fun activities, such as the corn maze, our Western Play Town, coaster slides, sand piles, and lots of other games and activities in Klackleville, our large activity area.
Be sure to visit the Cornucopia Farm Market to watch apple cider being pressed and donuts and caramel apples being made.
