While Belle Isle can be considered part of a Detroit vacation, this historic Michigan state park is a destination in itself. 

The park has an aquarium, a conservatory, and a nature center.

Belle Isle even has the only marble lighthouse in America. With its seven miles of shoreline, three lakes, and a lagoon, Belle Isle is a mesmerizing botanical wonderland.

Michigan’s state capitol offers a little something for everyone.  And being centrally located, it’s one of the easiest day trips in Michigan to hit.

Expand your mind by taking a tour of the Capitol building, walking Michigan State University’s campus, or visiting one of the many museums.
