Grand Rapids Kids Can Help Your Parenting Game

Welcome!

Hi, my name is Melody, and I’m so glad you’ve found Grand Rapids Kids!

Whether you’re brand new to parenting or you have five kids, we are sure to have resources to help make parenting easier (and more fun)!

I started this blog in 2009, leaving a decade-long career teaching science at Grand Rapids Christian High School. At the time, I was serving as the social coordinator for my MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers), which is what prompted me to begin a blog sharing things parents could do with kids around Grand Rapids.

What started as a fun way to share events with my fellow MOPS moms, has turned into a full-time job as the Founder and Creative Director for grkids.com. I have a fantastic team of fifteen women that help make GRKIDS the indispensable community resource that it is today. Take a look at our team’s bios and learn more about them HERE.

Running a website means that each day is an adventure.  Our day-to-day work is never the same, so we never get bored. Plus, we are constantly thinking about ways to move GRKIDS to the next level. We understand many parents trust us to provide information on how to spend their precious time and money. Your trust is something we do not take lightly. If you are new here, I’d love to share some valuable resources and ways you can best utilize Grand Rapids Kids!
