What to Expect at Rockford Speech Therapy Camps/Classes
If you aren't already a client of ours, we will set up a time for an evaluation so we can get a good overview of your child's skills and abilities. Once this is complete, classes will begin in the weeks following.

Offerings At Rockford Speech Therapy
Baby and Me
This class is offered for ages 12-24 months on Fridays from July 8th-August 12th from 10:30-11:30 AM.
Calling all moms, dads, aunts, grandparents, uncles, and others! This class is just for YOU.
This learn and play group is designed by a speech therapist and occupational therapist to target fun, engaging activities that help children develop early language skills and fine motor skills.
Learn strategies to use at home including baby sign and other great strategies for encouraging language development.
Come meet fellow parents and have your child engage and hopefully worn out for nap time!
Early Talkers
This class is offered for ages 2-4 years on Fridays from July 8th-August 12th from 9:30 am-10:30 AM.
Come hang out and talk about sensory skills while targeting language and social skills using AAC for children who would benefit.
The sessions will be led by an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist, and will primarily target language skills and sensory needs. Parents are welcome.

This class is offered for ages 5-9 years on Fridays from July 8th-August 12th from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Come hang out with us every Friday in this special social and language skills-building group.
Have your child build teamwork skills, social skills, and language skills in a functional and fully supported manner.
This is a great class to meet friends in!
Hangout Hour
This class is offered on Fridays from July 8th-August 12th for ages 7-9 years from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, and for ages 10-15 years from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM.
Our groups are run differently from a neurodiversity approach targeting functional skills to help children create lasting friendships and celebrate who they are.
We work on key concepts such as working together in a group, perspective taking, abstract language, dealing with frustration, and sharing common interests.
Children who have had difficulty getting along with others will learn about ways to compromise, collaborate, act with empathy, and develop lasting friendships.
This class is offered for ages 5-9 years on Fridays from July 8th-August 12th from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM.
