Looking for Repurposed, Vintage, Antique and Resale Shops in Greater Grand Rapids?

I love browsing through antique stores, flea markets and thrift shops for unique items.

It’s also fun to find a special birthday or holiday gift. I’m an avid Amazon shopper, but it’s much more personal to shop local at a small boutique.

Vintage, Resale, Consignment Store Shopping Made Easy for You!

We’ve made “treasure hunting” easy for you, West Michigan. Take a look below to find shops near you. We’ve covered everything from resale shops to consignment boutiques to vintage haunts. Jot down some addresses and get started on your own personalized resale trail!

The Found Cottage

Vintage, Flea and Handmade Markets

These markets are held on specific dates, and are great ways to see a huge variety of vendors in one place, with something for everyone.

Tip from my friend April: bring a vehicle that’s large enough to take home any sized treasure. Unlike a storefront, you can’t pick up that sweet chaise lounge the next day when you can bring the SUV. At a market you’ve gotta be able to take it home the same day.

Uptown & EGR (East Fulton, East Hills, Eastown, Wealthy Street)

There are enough shops in this one district to keep you and your friends on the hunt the whole weekend. There’s a nice mix of clothing and home goods stores, from fun vintage finds to true antiques.

Westside Grand Rapids

If you want to park once and shop loads of vendors, the west side is where you want to go. Century Avenue alone has two large stores with hours of shopping inside. This is also a good spot to find some great clothes that you can bet no one else will be able to copy.

Westside GR Stores

28th St & SE Kentwood Area

Whether you want to find a snazzy piece of painted furniture or maybe an old coffee table that you an reimagine yourself, the Kentwood area will have some great stops for you. (You can also bring your teen along to find some trendy-but-not-so-pricey duds!)

28th St SE & Kentwood Area Stores

North of GR- Plainfield & Rockford

Need kids clothes for a lot less? You’ll love that you can shop three different Grand Rapids thrift stores on Plainfield alone. Rockford shoppers will enjoy the cute shops with reimagined clothing and furniture treasures.

Ada, Cascade & Lowell

Want you or your house to look like a million bucks, but without spending it? The Ada/Cascade area has hot consignment items for you and your home. Lowell is very well known for its line of antiques shops down Main Street. (Tip: Flat River Cottage is a great place to buy Annie Sloan chalk paint!)

Ada, Cascade & Lowell Stores

Jenison, Hudsonville, Grandville & Allendale

The area west of Grand Rapids is a great place to find cute stores. You can find many that are filled with vendors with unique items and enjoy the ambiance at these small shops.

  2. Good list, missing however is really the best of all of these shops, Lost & Found! 445 Century Ave
Grand Rapids. They do it all well, rustic, industrial, antique, MCM, clothing, vintage, and newer high end items. LOST & FOUND, treasures of old and new is a must see.

  3. Thank you for including us in your list. Lost and Found appreciates any inclusion in this amazing collection of vintage stores throughout our area.

This is a great list, but I am disappointed that I did not see Pinkys Place on Alpine included. It is one of the best! They also help to support alzheimer patients.

  5. I love antiques too but please please please if you have kids in the house… be careful about LEAD! Many old objects with peaking paint look cool but that pealing paint is often leaded and can poison your child. Just be careful and do your research so you know what you’re looking for. You could even take 3M swabs with you and ask the owner if you can quick check an item. Lead is a big deal!

  6. This is a pretty great list but I’m a little bummed you left out Rustic Corner…it is on Chicago Drive in Jenison right between the Found Cottage and Changing Thymes.

  7. Could you add The Red Door in Allendale to this list? It is the most beautiful store full of unique farmhouse, vintage, & repurposed treasures!

  8. There is a new shop open in Lowell. Its called “Mi hometown furnishings” and its located at 312 e main st Lowell mi 49331. My brother in law and sister in law along with my wife just opened it. Great place to shop. Check it out!

  10. Pinky’s Place in Alpine is another that should be added to your list. They have a huge selection of Artisan products, antiques, Michigan made foods and lots of other items. They have close to 10,000 followers on their page. A one of a kind store with a mission and a purpose. They are also a non profit that raises money to help caregivers who are taking care of loved ones with dementia. They help families navigate this horrible disease. One of the owners mother “Pinky” has dementia.

  11. A new store has opened in Lowell that offers vintage, antique, and repurposed/upcycled. MI Hometown Furnishings is a furniture store that offers new furniture. Throughout the store you will find accessories and decor that is vintage, antique and repurposed. They are on Facebook and Instagram. Check them out!

  12. You missed a big one in NE GR, Pinky’s Place Antique and Artisan Market on Alpine. One of my favorite places.

    1. Hi. Ive heard Pinky’s is really over priced. I’ve never gone in there because of that. Is this true or should I go there
