SkyZone’s Renovations Bring Loads of New Obstacles and Activities

SkyZone has been entertaining West Michigan kids since 2012 with endless trampoline fun, dodgeball and more. It certainly is a fun thing to do with kids in Grand Rapids, MI!

When my friend Mary and I learned that they’ve made some major upgrades to the facility, we knew we had to check it out with our five-year-olds!  We found many new obstacles and activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Not Just for Kids – Adults are Riding the Trapeze and Climbing the Rock Wall

Seventeen –  yes –  17 new obstacles are included now when you visit SkyZone.

My five-year-old daughter particularly enjoyed the new zipline, hanging on to the end where you drop into a foam pit.

She needed help getting onto the zipline as it was above her head, but she was assisted by an attentive SkyZone employee.

The same SkyZone employee was also helping individuals try out the new swing and the new trapeze, both of which provided all ages with high-flying fun before tumbling into the foam pit.

I even saw a marine enjoy the trapeze; when I asked him if getting out of the foam pit was harder than boot camp, he laughing said yes, that it took more rolling!

Did you know they now have a climbing wall? Kids, and adults young and old, had fun climbing to the top! While my daughter wasn’t able to reach the top (yet), the grandma next to her made it all way to the top with her grandkids and husband applauding in the background!

SkyZone for Teens – They’ll Love Wipeout, SkyWars and Ninja Warrior

Two new attractions are available to ramp up your heartbeat, with the Wipeout area and the SkyWars battles.

Both of these have a minimum age of 8 and require quick response times as you are attempting to be the last man standing in the Nerf battle SkyWars area and avoid the moving foam sweeper arms from the Wipeout area.

Both these areas seem to be a favorite of tweens and teens!

Want to prove you are the next ninja warrior? Check out the warped wall and the warrior course!

The warped wall has three different height levels for participants to try and scale before jumping off into a foam pit. You’ll need speed and strength to master the wall. The warrior course provides many obstacles for you to swing through that preschoolers through adults will enjoy.

Climb High with Additional Activities

Don’t forget to check out the other new activities they offer, such as the silks area, the parkour boxes, the jousting station, the new arcade games, monkey bars, airtrak, and dropzone!

Bouncing, jumping, climbing and swinging burns some serious calories so luckily SkyZone has a snack area with lots of seating and convenience foods. The popular icees are a tasty treat and there are a few electronic games nearby for a quick break.

You can even try out the Hurricane machine and see if you can handle a windforce of over 70mph.
