HIS Dance Academy is on a Mission
Have you heard about HIS Dance Academy? You may find their mission very inspiring! Their goal is to “develop Christian character through excellence in dance instruction while reaching the community for Christ.” HIS Christian Dance offers pre-professional and recreational dance instruction for a variety of dance styles including ballet, modern and jazz, hip hop and tap.
Their new location (2715 29th St SE) features a beautiful dance studio and office area. Your dancers will love spending time in this wonderful, warm, inviting place, pictured below.
Positive, Affirming Environment
Dancers often experience a lot of pressure to look or perform in ways that can be extremely demanding. Parents and students LOVE the safe, positive, affirming environment created at the HIS Dance studio.
“Our granddaughter just finished her first year at the studio and will definitely be going back. Amazing teachers and staff, top notch dance instruction with biblical foundation.” -Tina E.
HIS Ensemble Presents Desert: A Good Samaritan Story
Travel with HIS Dance Ensemble through a remarkable illustration of bravery and hope in Desert: A Good Samaritan Story.
“Two tribes war. One girl helps. Will she succeed?” writes HIS Dance about Desert.
“After spotting a fallen neighbor from the enemy tribe, a young girl is asked to find help. She travels alone through a desert to find life-giving water. Encouraged only by her faith, she is tempted to abandon her task by three villains,” adds HIS Dance.
This incredible, original ballet is choreographed by Tassia Johnson and Hannah Sullivan, Artistic Directors of HIS Dance Ensemble. The Ensemble will be joined by Guest Artist Darrell Haggard.
HIS Dance Ensemble is the performance outreach branch of HIS Dance Academy. You do not want to miss their upcoming performance Desert: A Good Samaritan Story coming to the DeVos Center for Arts and Worship, March 11-12, 2017. Performances are at 3:00 PM.
HIS Dance welcomes you to join them for a Friendship Tea on Saturday before the performance. Tickets for both the Ballet and the Tea may be purchased online at www.dcaw.org.
