Shipt + Meijer = Grocery Shopping Freedom

Meijer has partnered with grocery delivery service Shipt to bring all the goodness of Meijer right to your front door.

Gone are the days of dragging children up and down the aisles in a seemingly endless journey to restock the pantry. Crying children, whining children, wild children.

Or in my case, that kid who just lays in the middle of the busy aisle, spread eagle, mad that I didn’t buy her the $1.99 toy that she will die without.

Now that kid won’t even know what she’s missing because she won’t ever see that toy! She will be playing with her own toys at home while a nice delivery person completes my grocery list at Meijer and brings the groceries to us.

Oh my gosh, I can’t imagine the time-saving enjoyment of using the Shipt service!! I work full time and we have things going on most weeknights, so shopping usually has to happen on the weekends. It would be great to free up some time and just enjoy free time on the weekends!

I always do my grocery shopping on my lunch hour because after work/daycare shopping with a 1 year old is miserable. And the weekends at Meijer are crazy. I’d love to not have to worry about keeping a cooler in my car and shopping at lunch time.

  19. Molly Dalere April 27, 2017 at 10:47 am

With two young kids it is almost impossible to get to the grocery store! A home delivery service like Shipt would be amazing for our hectic busy lifestyle!

  20. Niki corcoran April 27, 2017 at 7:11 am

Honestly we are going to sign up regardless, but free would be nice! I work mornings/afternoons and my husband works evenings, so it’s time out of our work day to go shopping for ourselves and our kiddos. And with that pressure, I always end up forgetting something! Looking forward to cutting those stressful trips out of our week.

Especially for the first couple months so I don’t have to leave the house to go grocery shopping with my 2 year old and newborn. I’ve been hearing great things about this service from friends!! My husband would also be very grateful 😉

  32. Sarah April 26, 2017 at 3:17 pm

  33. Kelly M April 26, 2017 at 3:09 pm

With a Shipt membership I would save on gas, as I have to travel out of the way to shop at Meijer. We would also eat healthier as I could go for fresh more often. Most importantly, life will be getting hectic here in a few weeks by adding a third to a family. It would be so nice to take grocery shopping of the to-do list and just enjoy the new addition.

My husband and I work full time. On top of overtime. On top he has two jobs! I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this. We don’t have a lot of time. Especially since we also have a toddler that get most of our undivided attention. Going to the store, honestly, for our family is just hard. And having groceries delivered might just be the ticket to a little more family time.

  39. Nicole V April 25, 2017 at 3:17 pm

I would love a Shipt subscription! I can definitely relate to the many difficulties of bringing a toddler to the grocery store, so that stress relief would probably.be the biggest benefit to my family! :p

Momma wouldn’t come home grumpy from the grocery store and my family would get a home cooked meal the day of instated of pizza, because I wouldn’t be tired fr grocery shopping! Yay! A win win!

  133. Lisa murphy April 18, 2017 at 7:13 am

Shirt would save me a ton of time!

  134. Jamie P. April 18, 2017 at 6:32 am

This would be a game changer! I have two little girls who aren’t big fans of shopping. I thought shopping was tough when they were babies and toddlers, but at age 4 and 6, I can no longer strap them in the cart and give them a sucker. Now they want to walk on their own and “help” (aka, get in the way and almost ran over by speed shoppers). It would be SO convenient and less stressful to have groceries delivered to our door.

  135. John green April 18, 2017 at 5:52 am

    So

I have a 12 year old, 9 year old and a 7 month old (enough right there to justify why I need it)

The 12 year old plays soccer and the 9 year old lacrosse

Of course that means 4 days of practice in separate locations with games on Saturday scattered around the local area

Yeah I could go on but it is time to get the 9 year old up for school

With both my husband and I working full time and raising a family of 8, Shipt would save me from asking my husband to pick up the things I forgot on his lunch hour!

  138. Billie dezarn April 18, 2017 at 12:24 am

I am a home heath care provider, I also have a special needs teenager that requires me to be home when he gets out of school. Between taking care of my clients and keeping my son’s routine ( which is extremely important for him) I often find myself opting for fast food delivery or what ever I can find to throw together as finding the time for shopping isn’t always easy to come by. This service would be such a amazing thing to have especially to get my family back to eating healthy instead of convenient.

  139. Deb Gritter April 17, 2017 at 9:36 pm

Our family would benefit from a Shipt subscription because we have 4 young kids and are in that stage of “nap jail” where the baby takes a morning and afternoon nap so there’s not much time to get anything done in between!! Would allow baby to get a decent nap and for us to spend time together playing when she is awake!

I have thought about trying it. With my husband and I both working full time, a toddler, and being exhausted all the time (prego for twins) grocery shopping just isn’t as fun as it used to be. Not to mention when/if I’m put on bedrest the hubby will be doing all the shopping (joy ?). The first few months after they’re born we’ll either have to find time for both to go shopping since carting the kids will be… interesting or it’ll be up to the hubby still. There are obviously many of wonderfully skilled people who do this all the time (kudos by the way!), but it would be nice to not have to deal with the store for a while.

With a testy 3 yr old, shopping is rarely a fun experience. This would save my patience, the time spend walking slowly down aisles at toddler wandering pace, avoid tantrums over items not bought, and save at least an extra 5 minutes spent looking at fish, getting a cookie, and riding Sandy. I don’t mind doing those things, but it just makes a long shopping trip even longer and more prone to a meltdown for taking so long.

Getting to the grocery store is always a struggle for me. This would help me avoid the stress of trying to figure out when and how I’m going to get to the store during the week!

  161. Alexandria Polk-Lewis April 17, 2017 at 7:53 am

I literally hate going to the grocery store. I love food, but I would much rather it just magically appear on my doorstep! My time is precious, and the less tedious things I have to do, the better!

Shipt would be amazing! I currently have a crazy toddler who goes insane for Meijers sandy pony… and while it gives me great joy watching her giggle and laugh on sandy… watching her do this for 15 + minutes straight is… less so when I want to shop. Then when we finally start shopping I get … mom mom mom mom mom pony! I want pony! Continually until I give her snacks so I can hurriedly shop before the snacks run out and hopefully find a cashier far enough from sandy where I can get to the car without another temper tantrum. I’m also recovering from agoraphobia- so big shopping trips are kind of hard right now.

Grocery shopping with 2 toddlers in tow isn’t always convenient. Therefore, Shipt! 🙂

Being able to have groceries delivered to my house will allow me more time to plan meals and spend time with my kids.

  281. Veronica D April 15, 2017 at 7:27 am

A shipt membership would be incredibly time-saving and convenient! To remove the stress and frustration of shopping and waiting in lines with kids in-tow would be a miracle.

Would be a huge help! 3.5 year old who wants to put everything in th cart while shopping and then scan everything at the end, such a headache! And then a 7 month old who gets bored fast and doesn’t want to be there. Having the food delivery would be huge! Plus would save me money (and calories) by not adding random things I see to the cart!

I would love not to have to go shopping with my three kids especially my 19 month old who refuses to sit in the cart! This would save a lot of time per week!

  286. Sara Travis April 15, 2017 at 7:21 am

Shipt would give me more time to play with my 2 year old rather than the struggle of grocery shopping!

This would be huge for my family! Now my day off wouldn’t be spent at Meijer but on an adventure with my kids. More free time then shopping time. Also stoop my kids from drafting going to the store.

I have been dying to sign up for this. I often have to take one or both my kiddos shopping making out trips two hours long and they dispise it. If I could cut that two hours out on my day off (when I normally go) that would be a dream come true and leave that much more time for us to do something FUN!

This is brilliant. I would save about 2 hours a week with the service. With a new baby on the way, my family could really benefit!

I’m a single mom of twins who works full time. I usually grocery shop on my lunch so I don’t have to bring the kids. That also means hauling in my cold/frozen foods into work – such a pain! Shipt could save me that headache!

I am a busy family of six. It’s baseball and cheerleading time of the year, we are definitely strapped for time. Being able to have groceries delivered means not eating out as much because I won’t be spending so much time in the store. It also means healthier choices to fuel my athletic kids.

Working mom of four. Baseball, theatre, football. Basketball, cycling, church, and therapy for our youngest make the getting to the store difficult when I have to add the crew to a trip it’s even harder. Crowd anxieties and sensory issues for a couple of our kiddos is the icing on the cake. I would love a shipt membership!

Shipt would allow me to enjoy the time at home playing and exploring with my three young children instead of trying to figure out how to get everyone through the grocery and have enough room in the cart for all our home needs. Hours with my family are precious. I’d rather enjoy them than juggle them!

  311. Tasha Millhouse April 15, 2017 at 6:14 am

Love it, but haven’t tried it yet! I’ve seen the shoppers while in the store and they seem so professional! Can’t wait to try it soon and get a membership!

It would save me the insanity of grocery aisle blockers and slow cart pushers and people who don’t say “excuse me” when they reach right in front of you. Avoiding this means I won’t come home all flustered and ready to snap! Something I’m certain my family will appreciate.

  318. Katie Rieffenberger April 15, 2017 at 5:55 am

I would love to not have to use my priceless child-free time every Saturday morning grocery shopping- it makes me so cranky. And, as we all know, kids & grocery stores don’t mix! I can’t wait to start using Shipt 🙂

I’m due with my third child in July. I would much rather stay home with my feet up (although that’s a whole dream in and of itself) rather than load my 3 year old, 2 year old and growing baby bump into my van to get groceries.

Between working full time, 3 kids, and handling a multi sport household I have very little time to shop for grocerys. My only free time is the weekends and I spend at least 2 hours shopping. Leaves me with very little time to spend with my family and free time for myself!

I would love to skip shopping at the store each week with my 2 toddlers! My 2 year old never sits in the cart- he fell out and landed on his head a couple weeks back at the check out lane. This is just one of the many unpleasant experiences I have had shopping with kids. Avoiding Meijer for my weekly shopping would be a dream come true!
