How to Fill Out the Form for Best Results
- Have your header image ready to go. Create an image (700×400) landscape orientation. JPG or PNG format. This image is the one that Facebook will pull and will be shared around on social media. Facebook prefers header images that have NO text on them. For this reason, Facebook will show images with no text more often than images with text.
- Fill out the form. The DETAILS section is very important. This will be the body of your event’s article. Let readers know what to expect and how to sign up. It’s fine to include links within this section by using the editing tools. You do not have a word limit here, but we suggest between 300-500 words.
- Fill out all of the fields on the form.
- Category Selection: hold down the [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][CONTROL] Button to select multiple categories. Only select the geographic location of where your event is physically occurring.
- Hit the [BROWSE] button and upload your header image.
- Click [SUBMIT]
- Your event will go into moderation, where it will be edited before being approved to the event calendar. We approve events once a day on business days. It may take a few days for your event to appear on our site. Please be patient. For best exposure, it is recommended that events be submitted as early as possible.
- Once your event has been approved, it will be placed in our system to be scheduled for social promotions.
