Come experience the joy of Christmas and the true reason we have to celebrate when you visit the 6th annual Bethlehem Experience and Live Nativity at Jenison Bible Church! This is an event you do not want to miss and we LOVE providing it for our community, completely free!

When you arrive, you will be guided inside where you will visit the census to be counted. Once you finish there you will enter the streets of Bethlehem where you can experience what it was like when Mary & Joseph were there. Use the coin you are given to purchase something at one of our shops, visit the innkeeper as he describes his experience with first turning Mary and Joseph away before he let them rest and deliver Jesus in his stable. Residents of Bethlehem will greet you in the streets and Roman Guards will be closely watching what you are doing. The tax collector will try and get your coin if you haven’t already spent it!

When you leave Bethlehem, you will then enter a room where you will receive a group number. There are activities for the kids to do while you wait for your group’s tour to head outside to the walk through Live Nativity. There are 8 stations you will visit as you take your 25 minute narrated tour through the events of the very first Christmas. Live animals will greet you, Angels will illuminate the sky and you will visit Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in the animal filled stable.

When your tour is over, you are invited back indoors for cookies, hot chocolate, coffee and Christmas ornament crafts for the kids!

We absolutely love this weekend of celebrating our Savior’s birth with our community and can’t wait to see many of you!
