We believe support and exposure are the best tools for introducing young women into a male-dominated industry.
Despite what you might have heard about technology jobs going overseas, there’s a growing demand for software professionals in the U.S. and an acute shortage of women in the industry.
To meet this challenge, SoftwareGR has implemented BitCamp, a one-day hands-on introductions to the Software Development profession for 7th and 8th grade girls – presented in a fun and supportive small-group environment. Each event is hosted by area studios, giving our students a first-hand look into the industry’s day-to-day. No programming experience is necessary. The emphasis is on learning by doing.
**A limited number of scholarships tickets are available. Please contact [email protected] for more information.**
We provide healthy snacks and lunch.
We provide the laptops.
Each BitCamp will be slightly different based on the host organization and instructors. However these times will be accurate. Any changes to the schedule will be communicated to you after registration and before the event.
