Families throughout Grand Rapids are invited to a community-wide event for the purpose of lifting up students in prayer prior to the 2019-20 academic year.
The 26th annual “Blessing of the Students” will be held on Sunday, August 18, at 6:00 pm at Grand Rapids Christian High School’s Eagles Stadium, 2300 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids MI 49506. It’s for parents, family members, friends and students of all ages!
Blessing of the Students is being planned by several Grand Rapids-area churches, schools, and community groups. Prayer will be offered by area pastors and community leaders.
Along with students, prayers will be offered for everyone involved in education, including parents, families, teachers, para-professionals, administrators, service staff, bus drivers, the community, law enforcement, and city leaders. The program will also feature inspiring remarks, music, and more.
Everyone is encouraged to wear school colors and show some school spirit! Members of school teams are welcome to wear their uniforms and come as a group.
Gates at 5:00 pm. See you there!
