Thursday, October 17, 2019 - 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

GRAM’s Story Time Program is a fun, educational evening for families held on the third Thursday of the month, and each event includes a read-aloud story, a tour of the exhibition, and an art-making activity in the GRAM Studio.

On October 17, let’s dive under the water for an ocean adventure! The Grand Rapids Public Library staff will begin by reading the book Flotsam by David Wiesner and singing songs about the underwater creatures. Next, a Museum docent will lead families through the exhibition David Wiesner & The Art of Wordless Storytelling to discover the imaginary world of this famous children’s book author and illustrator. Finally, families can visit the GRAM Studio to create a work of art inspired by their adventures!

No registration required, free for all guests. Program participants meet on the second floor of the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Story Time programs are held on Meijer Free Thursday Nights and admission and programming are available to guests at no cost thanks to the generous support of Meijer.
