Saturday, June 8, 2019 - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join us for a family friendly celebration of learning, the library, and community at Kollen Park. 30 stations of fun will be placed throughout the park including The Critter Barn, barrel rides by Fulfilling Life Ministries, hula hooping fun with Audacious Hoops, cosplay characters, the Smithsonian SparkLab! from the Holland Museum, the Tulip City Gem and Mineral Club, Lakeshore Makers, therapy dogs, a photo booth, and more. Get to know great community organizations while engaging in fun activities at their stations.
Sweet treats will be available first come, first served from HPD’s Polar Patrol and the Macatawa Bank Snack Shack. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch if you’d like something more substantial; Kollen Park is the perfect spot for a picnic!
Various school and community leaders are scheduled to sit in the dunk tank, so get your pitching arm warmed up while you save the date!
HDL staff members will offer rock out storytimes from the stage, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre will give us a sneak peek of this season’s Elephant and Piggie show, and the book bike will be stocked with books for check out at the event. Not sure what to check out? Local children’s author Travis Jonker will provide personalized reading recommendations.
