Don’t miss your chance to become part of state history at the Michigan Wildlife Photo Mosaic on Aug. 1 during KidsDay at the Zoo. Admission to John Ball Zoo is $4/person; photo mosaic participation is free.

You’ll have the chance to pose for real-time photos illustrating how people are necessary for wildlife management. Participants will engage in the interactive experience by placing their photo stickers on the mosaic board, which will appear as an individual, 8-foot-wide by 4-foot-tall artistic image of a Kirtland’s warbler, one of Michigan’s many wildlife success stories. Final versions of the warbler and several others created during a statewide tour will be displayed and housed at the Michigan History Center in Lansing.

Sponsored by the Michigan Wildlife Council, this is the mosaic wall’s only stop in West Michigan and part of a statewide celebration of the nationally heralded efforts the state is making to ensure Michigan’s wildlife and natural resources are preserved for future generations.
