Adventure Awaits at Blandford This Summer for Kids Ages 4-18

Blandford Nature Center camps are designed to provide enriching experiences in nature for children ages 4-12.

Our highly-trained staff have developed a variety of educational, hands-on activities for your child to enjoy while spending time exploring nature and forming lasting friendships with their fellow campers.

Campers will be divided into four age groups: Nature Buds (ages 4-5), Wild Sprouts (ages 6-7), Trail Blazers (ages 8-9), and Outdoor Explorers (ages 10-12).

Summer Day Camps will occur June, July, and August, Monday-Friday from 9:00AM-4:00PM with the exception of Nature Buds camp which will occur from 9:00AM-12:00PM.

Before and after care options are available to accommodate working parents' schedules and will allow you to extend your child's camp day.

Camp Warm Up is available to all campers and occurs Monday-Friday from 8:00-9:00AM, Camp Cool Down is available to full day campers only and occurs Monday-Friday from 4:00-5:15PM.

As a part of our mission to engage and empower ALL our community in enriching experiences in nature, we have made it a priority to provide special funds to cover a limited number of registration fees for campers facing financial barriers and also campers of a diverse background.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, this Campership and Diversity Scholarship program exists to aid in the efforts to make our camps a more representative picture of the diverse Grand Rapids community!

Do you have an older child looking to fill their summer with fun? Check out our Summer Camp Aide Program!

Summer Camp Aides (Volunteers) are an integral part of Blandford's camp team.

Camp Aides are teens ages 13-18 who assist Summer Camp Educators in leading an educational, fun, and safe camp experience for all campers.

They will provide supplemental supervision, lead games and activities, assist at lunchtime, maintain program spaces, and mentor campers.

Through volunteering and leadership training, Camp Aides gain valuable job experience, learn leadership skills, develop new friendships, stay active, and have fun!
