At Legacy Stables & Karin’s Horse Connection, we love to share our little slice of heaven with anyone who seeks to experience the joy of a human-horse connection.
We offer horse lovers a safe, relaxing and family friendly environment to learn and make memories.
While we cater mostly to new and inexperienced riders, we serve all ages and skill levels. Our highly qualified and experienced staff works with over 30 well-trained, gentle ponies and horses.
‘Own-A-Horse’ Camp offers a hands-on horse experience all week long!
In a safe, structured atmosphere, students will learn what it is like to own a pony or horse. While having FUN at the stables they will learn all aspects of horse care including, feeding, grooming, safety, how horses think, stable management, and more while building up our 5 C’s of Camp.
Kids will ride the horses every day in a variety of disciplines. At the end of the week they will earn an award.

Each day of the week is met with a new theme that involves learning a variety of topics:
-Safety on and around the horse
-Horse communication
-Horse psychology: What makes a horse tick?
-Horse breeds, colors, and markings
-Measuring a horse’s weight and height
-Tack parts
-Various riding disciplines and the differences
-How much does a horse cost?
And more!
Our “5 C’s of Camp” include the following:
* Comfort: Trusting the horse, themselves, and the staff.
* Confidence: Having strong body language and voice with the pony or horse
* Connection: Building relationships with the horses, other campers, and the staff.
* Capability: Creating a strong foundation of knowledge to use with any activity at camp
* Challenge: Facing any frustration or new activity with bravery and positivity
