Camp Henry sits on 200 beautiful acres in Newaygo, with over a ¼ mile of lake-frontage on Kimball Lake and provides an ideal setting for summer campers, school groups, youth group retreats, sports teams, scout groups, and family camps.

Camp Henry is accredited by the American Camp Association. Being accredited by the American Camp Association indicates that Camp Henry meets or exceeds industry-accepted and government-recognized standards and best practices for our programs, facilities, and staff.

What You Can Expect at Camp Henry

Camp Henry has had the privilege of serving campers, families, and guests since 1937. We believe that a camping experience at Camp Henry has the capacity to transform lives in many ways.

With such a concentrated amount of time, a beautiful natural environment, intentional camp programs and activities, opportunities to try something new, and campers being surrounded by positive Christian role models - the combination is perfect for enhancing and positively changing the lives of campers and guests who come to Camp Henry.

Camp Henry Summer Camp Session Details

The majority of campers who come to Camp Henry for Summer Camp register for our week-long Regular Camp, which is our traditional overnight program where campers have the chance to experience all of the Camp Henry favorites.
Some of our favorite activities are boating, archery, arts & crafts, riding on our Big Banana water tube, Camp Henry CLUE, and many more.

In addition to Regular Camp, Camp Henry also offers week-long specialty summer camps including Wakeboarding Camp, Frontier (Horse) Camp, and Climbing Camp.

Camp Henry also offers other summer camp opportunities like Teen Adventure Trips and a Service Project-focused camp as well as Day and Mini-Camps for younger campers.

Campers at Camp Henry will all have a horse experience, and a chance to get off the ground with one of our High Adventure elements.

Camp Henry is happy to serve campers ages 5 – 17 years old.

Camp Henry welcomes families and individuals to camp by hosting Events throughout the year, such as Dad & Me and Mom & Me Weekends, and a Family Camp weekend.
Trail Rides are available in the spring and fall each year, which allows more people the opportunity to enjoy our camp horses.

Camp Henry is the place to be for an Outdoor Retreat Center for youth and adults. Field trips for school classes, a new place to reconnect for church groups, a place to practice and grow together for sports teams, and even a place for scouting groups to discover the outdoors.

Camp Henry staff are more than happy to partner with different groups to customize a unique retreat. Activities and programs are intentionally planned for each group and their goals.

Retreat programs include Team-Building initiatives, High Adventure elements, and Outdoor and Environmental Education.

Camp Henry is also proud to announce its new Homesteading Program, which includes our new Sugar Shack! Retreat groups and field trippers can learn more about making maple syrup and just might get to sample some of our Camp Henry syrup!
