New Features at Manhattan Park
Now that you know how to get there, it’s time to dive into all the incredible new improvements!
Playground
The new playground area is just begging for young kids to come play.

There’s slides, swings (including accessible ones!), climbing opportunities and so much more.
Bonus: it’s all over a soft-rubber ground cover.

Splash Pad
Kids are definitely going to want to cool off in the new splash pad.
This small splash pad has water features that spray up from the ground. No dump buckets here, making it perfect for the youngest water-seekers.

The splash pad is open daily Memorial Day – Labor Day, 10 AM – 8 PM.
Mountain Bike Trails
Nearly three miles of trails are being added, featuring beginner and intermediate routes and a dedicated skills area for mountain bikers. The City is currently working with the West Michigan Mountain Biking Alliance to enhance the trails in Manhattan Park.

Skilled mountain bikers can look for the “designated skills area.” This will be a closed loop specifically designed for mountain bikers, separate from the beginner and intermediate trails.

New Courts and Other Improvements
In addition to fun new places to play, splash and bike, Manhattan Park has also added a new reservable modern pavilion. There’s also updated restrooms on the west side of the park.

Sports enthusiasts, you’re covered, too! The tennis and volleyballs courts have been updated and new ones added. There’s now also four reservable pickleball courts.
