Q&A with BattleGR's 4 Day Play Camp

What makes your camp stand out from the rest?

BattleGR’s 4-Day Play Camp is built for kids ages 5–14 who thrive on movement, structure, and real interaction—not all-day screens.

This isn’t babysitting, and it’s not a chaotic free-for-all. It’s a high-energy, staff-led camp where kids stay active, feel included, and head home proud, tired, and excited to come back.

What makes our camp special starts with intentional structure. Each day follows a clear, balanced flow that blends physical activity, team-based challenges, and guided breaks.

Laser tag is played every single day, giving campers something familiar and exciting to look forward to, while variety is layered in through archery tag, Nerf games, sports courts, and interactive group challenges.

The result? Kids stay engaged without feeling overwhelmed or bored.

We also take a realistic approach to screens. Campers enjoy a limited, supervised video game session each day—used intentionally as a reward and social activity, not a default.

Parents love that balance: kids still get something they enjoy, while spending the majority of the day moving, collaborating, and interacting face-to-face.

Safety and trust are foundational at BattleGR. All camp staff undergo background checks, and CPR-trained team members are on-site at all times.

Our staff is experienced in managing groups across a wide age range and is trained to actively lead games, enforce rules consistently, and ensure every child feels supported and included. We don’t just supervise—we engage.

Another key difference is exclusivity.

This summer, camp is only offered for three total weeks. That allows for smaller group sizes, stronger staff-to-camper ratios, and a higher-quality experience overall.

It also means spots fill quickly—because families know this isn’t a camp that runs all summer long.

Lunch is included, communication with parents is clear, and drop-off and pick-up are simple.

If you’re looking for a camp where your child comes home smiling, confident, and already asking to go back tomorrow, BattleGR’s 4-Day Play Camp delivers.

Anything new or exciting this year?

Yes—and it’s one of the most exciting additions we’ve ever offered.

This year, BattleGR Play Camp is introducing Virtual Reality (VR) as an optional add-on experience for campers who are interested. VR is not a replacement for our core camp activities—it’s an enhancement.

Laser tag, active games, and team challenges remain the foundation of every day, with VR layered in as a special opportunity for kids who want to try something new.

What makes this addition different is how intentionally it’s used. VR sessions are staff-led, time-limited, and age-appropriate, designed to be immersive and fun without becoming overwhelming or screen-heavy.

Campers experience VR in small groups, ensuring proper supervision, clear instructions, and a safe, positive experience from start to finish.

Parents appreciate that VR is opt-in, not automatic. Some kids are curious and excited to try it, while others prefer to stick with physical play—and both choices are great.

By making VR an add-on, families stay in control, and camp continues to prioritize movement, social interaction, and balance.

From a camper’s perspective, VR feels special. It’s something they don’t get to do every day, which makes it exciting without taking over the schedule.

From a parent’s perspective, it’s reassuring to know VR is handled responsibly, with trained staff guiding the experience and clear boundaries around use.

This addition also reflects what BattleGR does best: combining innovative experiences with structured play.
We’re always looking for ways to elevate camp without sacrificing what works.

VR allows us to introduce new technology while still delivering the active, confidence-building environment parents expect.

As with everything we offer, space for VR sessions is limited and availability may vary by day.

Families who choose the add-on can expect the same level of organization, supervision, and attention to detail that defines the rest of our camp experience.

It’s new, it’s exciting, and it’s completely optional—just one more way BattleGR Play Camp continues to evolve while staying true to what matters most.

What’s a typical day like from start to finish?

A typical day at BattleGR’s 4-Day Play Camp is structured, energetic, and designed to keep kids engaged from the moment they arrive until pickup—without feeling rushed or chaotic.

Check-in kicks things off with fun. As campers arrive, everyone joins in a large group game right away.

This helps break the ice, burn off early energy, and make sure no child is standing around unsure of where to go.

During check-in, parents can add money to their child’s account for arcade games or treats like snacks, slushies, or ice cream.

Every camper also receives $3 in arcade credit included each day.

After the opening group game, campers are divided into age-appropriate groups and introduced to their camp counselors, who stay with them throughout the day.

These smaller groups rotate through a series of activity stations, keeping the day moving while giving kids variety and structure.

Rotations typically include:
Laser tag (played daily)
Arcade & free time (20–30 minutes)
Court games like basketball or other active play
Video games (limited, supervised sessions)
A specialty activity unique to that day

Snack breaks are built in to match kids’ energy levels.

Younger campers enjoy a morning snack around 10 AM, while older campers get an afternoon snack around 2 PM. This helps everyone stay fueled and focused.

Lunch is at noon and gives kids a chance to recharge, relax, and socialize with their group.

After lunch, the afternoon rotations continue, keeping energy balanced between high-movement activities and calmer options.

Campers who need a break can choose craft activities, giving them a creative outlet without missing out on the fun.

The day wraps up with a big, all-camp game—the kind you remember from camp as a kid.

Think Capture the Flag or other large-group challenges that bring everyone together, end the day on a high note, and send kids home smiling, tired, and excited to come back tomorrow.

What’s one thing parents always thank you for at pickup?

The one thing parents thank us for most at pickup is simple: their kids are happily exhausted and already asking to come back tomorrow.

Parents tell us they notice the difference immediately. Their child isn’t wired from screens all day or bored from sitting around.

They’re tired in the best way—physically active, mentally engaged, and proud of what they did.

We hear it over and over: “They actually played today.” That matters, especially for kids who spend so much of the year indoors, seated, and scheduled.

Another common thank-you comes from parents whose kids are shy, new, or nervous in group settings.

They’re grateful that their child felt included. Because we start every day with group games and keep kids with the same counselors and small groups, no one gets lost in the crowd.

Parents tell us, “They made a friend on day one,” or “They felt comfortable right away.” That sense of belonging is huge.

Parents also thank us for the structure. They appreciate knowing their child wasn’t just wandering around all day.

Every activity is staff-led, transitions are smooth, and there’s a clear rhythm to the day. That structure helps kids feel secure—and parents feel confident they made the right choice. Safety comes up often too.

Parents are thankful that our team is engaged, attentive, and trained to manage groups of different ages.

Background-checked staff and CPR-trained team members on-site give parents peace of mind, especially when they see how well their kids are supervised during high-energy activities like laser tag and court games.

Finally, parents thank us because camp makes their lives easier. Lunch is handled, snacks are scheduled, communication is clear, and pickup is simple.

There’s no guessing how the day went—kids are eager to tell them.

At the end of the day, the biggest thank-you isn’t just words. It’s kids dragging their feet at pickup, asking if they can come back tomorrow—and parents knowing they chose a camp that delivered real value, not just childcare.
