We’re working hard to build our Big Awesome Art Map for ArtPrize 2024. Keep checking back for updates!
Check out this art at Art For Honor at Veterans Memorial Park
Outdoor venue across from the Children’s Museum - Art For Honor: An initiative to bring veteran artists to ArtPrize, in partnership with Kent County Veteran Services and Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. Featuring 27 veteran artists this year who were mentored and their projects funded by this program.
Exhibits
A collection of small paintings by students from Walker Charter Academy, VFW Camp Trotter, and Caledonia elementary, intermediate, and middle schools of the people, places, and things that symbolize America.
A large painting of women and men of African descent who gave so much in the performing arts, civil activism, writing, and other fields. Featuring great actors, writers, and performers of all creeds and colors.
A sculpture tribute to Emperor, the artist's first service dog. Emperor was assigned to SEAL Team 3 for bomb detection and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. This monument stands for the memory of all warriors who have stood on the wall protecting us all every day.
Photographs of women veterans.
A lunar module art piece made from 438 separate pieces of wood.
An eagle drawing by a local veteran who assists other veterans in the creative arts.
Note: Due to limited resources and team availability, we can't include all entries. We've focused our efforts on highlighting the ones that best resonate with our audience. Our work is independent of the ArtPrize organization. If you have an exhibit you’d like us to consider, please fill out this form with your exhibit details.

how do you print the map?
The family route does not show up on the interactive map. Everything else shows, and the numbered stops can be followed, but the actual map does not show.
