Nested in pine forest just east of Big Rapids, CranHill provides a unique Christian Overnight Summer Camp experience filled with adventure, excitement, and fun for kids ages 7-17.
What to Expect at CranHill Summer Camp
CranHill exists to transform lives into the image of Christ, and create genuine opportunities for kids to engage with the gospel.
Every week consists of a wide range of activities, Bible study in cabin groups, and worship and teaching with our speaker all in a safe environment with our trained staff.
CranHill also runs retreat opportunities for all ages, including a girls horsemanship retreat, a women’s retreat, men’s retreat, and a mother-daughter retreat.
CranHill places a priority on finding highly capable, trained staff to be a part of the summer ministry team. That is why they travel to the best Christian colleges throughout the Midwest to find their summer staff.
Each summer staff member must complete an extensive written application, followed by a personal interview, and criminal background checks. The summer staff then go through a week of intensive training in their ministry area, prior to the beginning of summer camp.
Prior to arrival, each staff member is also required to take child safety training through Ministry Safe, a 5-part safety system to protect children and those who serve them.
CranHill also offers a 120-site family campground, cabin rentals and retreat facilities! Read more about these facilities here.

While I do love summer camps, the cost can add up, especially if you have multiple children.
I love finding Vacation Bible Schools for my kids because those are usually free.
