Where Moms and Dads Work Out

Finding Fitness With Kids in Tow

Joining a gym is all fun and games until you have kids and need childcare! How’s a parent supposed to get in the cardio with a toddler running in circles around you? (No, that whirling kid can’t get your cardio on your behalf…)

We’ve found a list of local fitness centers with childcare, so you can more easily keep the fitness habit in your life! If your local workout haunt has childcare and isn’t on this list, let us know in the comments!

Child care is free for members while they work out. Membership is not required to participate in their childcare, preschool, and before and after school programs for a cost, and they even offer free preschool for qualifying families. Kids can also participate in many classes and sports, including swimming.

I highly recommend Fit 4 Mom. The cost is so much more affordable than MVP or the Y and it’s incredibly well run.

If it weren’t for childcare at MVP I prob wouldn’t work out. I have tried following exercise videos at home while my kids nap but I always find myself distracted thinking about all the things I need to do around the house. At MVP my kids play and interact w “friends” and “teachers” while I get a workout in. We go home and they take amazing naps and I can get the laundry/dishes/cleaning/meal prep done!
