Cabela’s Santa Wonderland Opens November 2, 2024
For many west Michigan families, “See Santa” is towards the top of their Christmas activities list.
Check that box super early with a trip to Cabela’s in Grandville.
Santa is set to arrive at Santa’s Wonderland on Saturday, November 2, 2024, with photos beginning November 3.
Reservations open seven days prior.
Cabela’s also has locations in Michigan in:

Cabela’s Santa Hours
Every year, Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shop locations across the US transform a part of their store into Santa’s Wonderland.
Part of the magic for parents is that the whole experience is free. You just need to make a reservation.
Santa himself will be in Santa’s Wonderland beginning at 10 AM on weekends and 5 PM on weekdays.
Make reservations through 8 PM most nights.
In the past, he’s usually there seven days a week — weekday evenings and all day on weekends.
Get a Free 4×6 Photo with Santa
Everyone gets a FREE 4 x 6 dated photo with Santa — printed right away in store to go home with you.
If you want more than just a 4×6, they’ve put together a few packages available for purchase.
The $20 Digital Download package includes the free 4×6 and a high-res download of your image. Add on (8) 4×6 Christmas cards for $5 more with the Christmas Card Package.
Exclusive to Club card members is the Jingle Bells Package for $25. It includes the free 4×6, digital download, (1) 6×8 Print, (1) 5×7 Print, (2) 4×6 Prints, and (4) Wallets!

Mail Santa Letters & See the Aquarium
During your visit, families can mail letters to Santa and receive free giveaways while supplies last. (Giveaways on weekdays only.)
This year’s giveaways include a wood ornament you can color, 3D Christmas Tree light and a bass cookie cutter.
Families can also enjoy the amazing aquariums and wildlife displays found in every Cabela’s store.
Special Santa Sightings
This year, Cabela’s is hosting additional special events to spread holiday cheer!
Listen to Santa and Mrs. Claus tell Christmas Tales every Tuesday at 5 PM beginning Nov 5 through Dec 17.
Want to join them for breakfast? Enjoy a Yuletide Breakfast Nov 16, 23 and Dec 7 at 9 AM.
Reservations are required and open 7 days prior to the event.
Take Your Christmas Card Pic in Front of Their Gorgeous Backdrop
Be sure to stop by the fireplace and giant Christmas tree up front for a picture-perfect photo opp.
When they saw this pic, my family asked how I got such a big tree in my house (which they know doesn’t have a fireplace). Thanks for the beautiful backdrop, Cabela’s!
Appointments Available to Visit Santa’s Wonderland
You can make advance reservations to visit with Santa. This is perfect for families with young kiddos (any kids really) so you can avoid the line.
Appointments are available one week from the current day.
All new appointments are released at 12:01 AM for the next available day. If all slots show UNAVAILABLE, this means all bookings have been reserved for those dates and times – or you’re too early and that day isn’t available for booking yet.
There is no fee. To make a reservation, visit the reservation portal, input your zip code, and choose an open time slot.
If something comes up and you can’t make it, it’s super easy to cancel. Just reply to their text and that’s it!
But don’t let a lack of appointment stop you from trying to see Santa. In 2023, there was a separate line for walk-ups – no reservation required! We’re not sure if this option will be back for 2024, but we think it probably will return.
