Why are houses with No Decorations for 2025 on the list?
That’s because we start scouting in mid-September! Maybe we swung by the house before the decorator had gotten started. We’ve left them showing up on our list in case they have decorations up now.
If that’s the case, click below to let us know the lights are up or to add a new house we should consider.

I don’t know how we got that so wrong! You’re all set for this year.
How do I add my house on this list
Rebecca, there’s a link in the article to submit your house for consideration. Here it is for quick reference. We’d love to see what you’ve got! https://grkids.com/best-decorated-halloween-houses/#add-a-halloween-house-to-the-list

Hi,
Any chance you can post this under McCabe house. There have been a few “close-calls”. if you stop at the McCabe house- you can park on Conservation or pull over to the grass. Please do not stop quick in the street on McCabe.
I’ve made that note for this year’s publication.
Hi Elizabeth, are you the author? This is great. Please check out my home at
614 N Park St NE
Grand Rapids 49525
I did help create this list and also help to maintain it. I’ve added you to our list! Thanks for reaching out!
Hi- McCabe has decorations that move. Just a warning if little ones tend to get frightened. Please, please do not stop or drive very slow by. Please pull over as many tend to drive extremely fast on McCabe.
There’s another house in Jenison, on Redwood dr that decorates every year. This year’s theme is, “Monsters Ball”.
Thanks for the tip, Maria! I added them to our list.
15 Anderson Sparta, MI has an awesome yard all decked out!
Thanks for the tip, Kim! I added them to our list.
Just wanted to confirm that Thornapple DR and Laraway Lake in Ada (Oliver Woods neighborhood) is decked out to the hilt! Much like Christmastime, the first house at the entrance goes ALL out; and many other houses throughout the neighborhood join in on a smaller scale.
Thank you so much, Julia! I have moved that to the confirmation list and added it our map.
Come check out GuyotsLights! We do a Halloween and sequenced light show! The Halloween show runs most nights from 6-10pm. Location can be found on our Facebook Page https://www. facebook.com/GuyotsLights
Excellent! Thank you, Kevin! I have added you to our list and map.
1447-1449 Escott Ave. NW. We have a 7ft werewolf, Pennywise the dancing clown (IT), skeleton horse and stagecoach, a 6ft spider on the roof and plenty of inflatables, including the whole Halloweentown cast from Nightmare before Christmas! Add us to the list!!!
On Ballpark , Deb does a great job every year…
It seems odd that this article doesn’t include a map link with all the addresses. Even worse, now that I want to make one, nothing on this site can be highlighted for copy/pasting? This is great information, not very usable.
Well Zach, you are a mind reader, because we JUST added a map, new this year! Enjoy. 🙂
How do you make the list? We are down the street from Kinview and Kinrow.
We decorate pretty good over here too.
We add anything that readers think is “worth the drive.”
1119 Conlon Ave between lake and hall east Grand Rapids. Cool arches and graveyard!
Please add a house that on Melita Ave off of Knapp St. I don’t know the specific address, but each year the home owner goes above and beyond with decor and actually dressing up to greet trick-or-treaters with a BOO!
Yes! I’ve seen this house and it’s honestly one of the best houses because the owner goes above-and-beyond in dressing up too!
Ashely – Thank you for the shout-out! I am the crazy Halloween lady you speak of and I am on the list above. We rented on Melita but purchased and moved to 921 Shawmut Ct NW!
Just found a super decked out house in Princeton Estates (Kentwood) this evening. It’s on Effingham.
