For those wanting more concrete directions, take 31 north to Fruitvale exit. Go west….(right) about 4.5 miles down and OLD 99 HWY is on your left!
Lisa tells us that “You will see the YELLOW FOR MILES! It’s awesome!”
In 2023, it was $2 for a sunflower stem. Just put your money in the box and cut your own bouquet!

The u-pick sunflower patch is open during market hours during peak bloom times.

The first bloom should last 7-10 days (depending on the weather). We'll have additional staggered bloom times in late summer and early autumn (weather permitting).
This year’s varieties are pollenless sunflowers in the traditional yellow hue plus several fun, unique colorful choices like plum, orange or creamy white.
These pollen-free varieties don’t shed pollen dust and last longer than regular sunflowers. Bloom times are staggered for different peak dates.
The sunflower patch is also available for photo shoots when in bloom.
Please stop at the market to borrow clippers and a pail to pick your own flowers.

Hobby farm in West Michigan, we grow strawberries, blueberries, sunflowers and honey. Liefde is the Dutch word for Love (pronounced leaf-duh)
Pull in by the long red barn drive along the south side, the sunflower field is behind it, you may park along the barn, pull out the same way you came in, we have things growing on the other side of the barn along with irrigation pipe on the ground.
Please drive carefully we have kids, cats and a dog. If the dog gets out he’s very friendly but forgets his manners when he’s excited and jumps up on people, his name is Newt.
There’s a pond so please be cautious of that. As alway this is our home so please respect our property and animals. We grow the sunflowers for fun and like to share it with others, our field is open for walk-throughs and photos but we ask that if you’re able to leave a donation to help with the cost, there is a mail box set up at the entrance to the field.
For professional photographers charging for their services there is a $15 studio fee per session.
Please stay off the tractor and stay out of the blueberry field.
The flowers don’t follow the sun and are facing East. The average height this year is just about waist level with some spots being taller and some being shorter.

What to Expect at Eaton Kids Farm:
The farm is a small plot approximately 75 yards by 30 yards.
You can private message us your order and we will have them ready for you on the day and time you need them if we are available.
The kids do 90% of the work on this farm and the money goes to them for their savings, car, spending, and giving funds.
If there is room in the driveway you are more than welcome to park in our driveway. If not, please park between the roundabouts on Dort Hwy between Cook Rd and I-75. We have a path mowed to our stand.
The first plot is likely to last for about 3 weeks and appears that it will be the tallest plot for pictures.
Please be mindful where you step when entering the sunflower so we want to preserve as many flowers as possible.

You can private message us your order and we will have them ready for you on the day and time you need them if we are available.
The kids do 90% of the work on this farm and the money goes to them for their savings, car, spending, and giving funds.
If there is room in the driveway you are more than welcome to park in our driveway. If not, please park between the roundabouts on Dort Hwy between Cook Rd and I-75. We have a path mowed to our stand.
The first plot is likely to last for about 3 weeks and appears that it will be the tallest plot for pictures.
Please be mindful where you step when entering the sunflower so we want to preserve as many flowers as possible.

U-Pick Sunflowers by the half-dozen, dozen, or an all-you-can-fit bucket, includes a wagon ride to the field.

Located between Ann Arbor and Detroit in SE Michigan, the DeBuck family started growing sunflowers on their farm in 2017. They later added 5 acres of lavender fields to their operation. They also have a corn maze and pumpkin patch in the fall.
While you are at the farm you will have the option to pick your own sunflower bouquets and lavender bundles to take home with you.
People love coming out to the farm to experience the beauty of the sunflowers and lavender. Great photo ops.

Our multicolor sunflowers and wildflowers are gorgeous this year! Unfortunately, our yellow sunflower field didn't germinate (grow) though.
We also have a beautiful cut flower garden growing with lots of dahlias and zinnias.
This year we will be providing mason jars for u-pick flowers from anywhere on the farm (including the wildflower field as long as it continues to be prolific).
Stop by and wander through our maze, take pictures, and pick flowers to share with loved ones. We have multiple picnic tables or throw a blanket down and bring a lunch.
2023 Rates: $7/adult, kids accompanied by adults are free. With paid admission you get 1 free sunflower.

What months do sunflowers bloom in Michigan?
Late summer is sunflower season in most of Michigan. The lower part of the state tends to harvest sunflowers earlier, but the bloom time really depends on the variety of sunflowers being grown on the Michigan farm.
If you’d like, you could chase sunflowers around Michigan starting in mid-July and ending in September. You’ll find them planted in the Lower and Upper Peninsula of the Mitten State.
What can I do at a sunflower field?
Farmers have gotten creative with their sunflower crops. Many now offer special photographer sessions.
Sunflower festivals are on the agenda (there’s one at Lewis Farms in New Era), and we even found one farm planning a maze through their sunflower fields in September.
Please follow farm rules and respect the crops these farmers work so hard on.
