Putt-Putt on a Farm? Yup! – Only at Heritage Farms in West Michigan

Heritage Farms Mini Golf

Get your Fall Fix with Cider, Pumpkins & Putt-Putt

Just an hour north of Grand Rapids, you’ll find something you probably didn’t expect at a West Michigan farm: mini golf!

That’s right, Heritage Farms Market in Fremont has an 18-hole putt-putt course tucked in with all its other fall fun.

At first glance you might think this is the old-school kind of putt putt, but this isn’t your average mini golf course. Tee off and soon realize you’ll have to dodge obstacles like a large swinging pendulum on hole one, and then hit it through a loop-de-loop a few holes later.

I found myself taking a few trick shots! The course is filled with farm-themed touches like cute animal sculptures and fun farm facts that add to the experience.

Jumping Pillow, Petting Zoo & Pumpkins

The Farm Town Petting Zoo is next to the mini golf course and includes cows, goats, and even a donkey. The goats will be thrilled if you purchase a $3 feed cup to share with them.

Once you finish minigolf there’s plenty more to do. Kids can get out more energy bouncing around on the Jumping Pillow, climbing tire mountain, or sliding down the Gopher Hole Slides. These attractions are fee-based.

If you’re visiting in October, don’t leave without heading to the pumpkin patch to pick out your own pumpkin. Fun photo ops are staged here, too.

Conquer the Corn Maze

Is a fall trip really complete if you don’t tackle a good old-fashioned corn maze?

At Heritage Farms, you can check off this bucket list item year after year because the USA-themed maze design changes annually, so there’s always a new challenge.

Hop on the “I Spy” Hayride

After all of that activity, it’s probably time to rest your feet and take it easy on the “I Spy” Hayride. This ride lets you kick back for 20-30 minutes while you take in the farm’s views. And if you’re feeling competitive, see who can spot the bison and elk (look at those antlers!) first as you ride through the fields. It’s part relaxing, part “who’s got the sharpest eyes.”

Market Treats & Apple Cider

Getting fall goodies is next on our list. Once inside, walk past all of the candy and jams and head over to where they press their fresh apple cider right on-site. Grab an empty jug, pull the lever and watch the golden juice fill your container.

And don’t stop there—next, get in line to grab a warm donut (or three), and maybe even snag some fudge or a caramel apple. Really, watching the donuts fry is almost as satisfying as eating them.
