The Wayne County Lightfest is a magical four-mile drive thru Christmas lights show in Hines Park, displaying nearly 50 animated, themed displays and more than 100,000 lights.
Tune into AM 1640 within three to five miles of the Lightfest entrance, visitors can receive regular updates on wait times, traffic flow, special event and event costs.
Once inside, visitors can make a stop at Perrin Park, mid-way through the show, to drop off a letter to Santa in the giant mailbox.
Please note the access to the Lightfest is only available north of the Merriman Road bridge due to bridge work being underway. Please be prepared for longer entrance times.
On Opening Night (November 21), the Lightfest will be opening early and there will be free admission from 6 - 6:30 PM during the "Lights On" ceremony.
Hines Drive will be closed to traffic for Lightfest set-up from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive from 5:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
Toy Night, which allows visitors to donate a new, unwrapped toy in lieu of paying the car entrance fee, will take place on Wednesdays, November 27, December 4 and December 11, 2024. Commercial vehicles will not be considered for free admission.

Freeland Lights 2024 - Christmas Lights Display

Come join in the excitement this Christmas season! With the support of the community, this musical display lights up Hayes Park in Tittabawassee Township.
Visitors can enjoy the dancing lights while listened to the programmed show by tuning their vehicle's radio station to 93.9 FM.
The show is FREE, but donations to benefit CAN Council GLBR and Habitat for Humanity of Saginaw are accepted and appreciated.
The Township has created a North Drive. Please follow signs and enter from the North side of parking lot. Additionally, please consider viewing the show during the week for best viewing and less traffic.
Starting at 9 PM, the "song selector" will become activated, and YOU can choose from your phone the song you wish to see. Songs are added in order upon selected into the cue. Additionally, ALL DAY TUESDAY will be song selector day!

There is NO admission cost to this event. Simply come and enjoy the show as many times as you wish throughout the month of December.
Donation boxes located at the front of the display as well as at the exit of the park. This is a free event only goodwill giving for those that wish to donate to our local charities.
100% of the donations collected are given to CAN Council GLBR and Habitat for Humanity of Saginaw.

River Lights of Wonder is a fun and free event for the entire family. Drive through the light show next to the river and see the story of Christmas as you enjoy some hot chocolate.
Friday night activities include lights, lollipop train, hayride and fire pit.

Tips for Visiting Drive Through Light Displays
Check Dates & Times
The light shows on this list have set dates and times that they are open. Sync up your calendar to be sure you show up at the right time and place.
Check for Tickets
Some of the light shows require advance tickets. Many of the shows charge admission by the carload, while others request a donation.
Stock Up Your Car
You’ll want Christmas music, holiday snacks, and hot cocoa, plus PJs for the kids, and warm cozy blankets. Also, be sure you have a full tank of gas.
Have a Restroom Strategy
You’ll likely be in the car for a while. And, you might be drinking hot cocoa or hot apple cider. Plan accordingly.
Extend Your Trip
The reality is, not everyone lives within a reasonable driving distance of one of these Drive thru Christmas light shows. Consider renting a cabin near your destination and making it an overnight trip.

We’re big fans of the barn, corn and tractor since it’s a little different. Renting a cabin is an excellent idea for bringing the family together.
