Stirrups and Strides Day Camp in Interlochen, MI
Stirrups and Strides Day Camp is part of the 2025 West Michigan Summer Camps Guide.
Stirrups and Strides Day Camp is for anyone ages seven and up! All riders are welcome, from beginner to seasoned riders.
Campers will learn all about horses, from anatomy to basic horse care including grooming, bathing, braiding, and wrapping.
Campers can expect to develop basic riding skills all while under the watchful eye of our experienced staff.

A Closer Look at Stirrups and Strides Day Camp
Our week starts with the riders being paired together with a partner and assigned a horse for the week.
After learning how to properly groom and tack their horses, campers will split into groups and have an hour-long riding lesson daily. After riding campers will have a lunch break and engage in educational horse activities and games.
The rest of the afternoon campers will make horse related arts and crafts, and conclude their week with a horse show to display their newly learned skills!
