Park Managed by Byron Township
Whistlestop Park and Playground

You’ll also find baseball & softball fields, play equipment, a 2.5-acre catch and release fishing pond, walking trail, soccer fields, football fields, pavilion and picnic area, and volleyball court.
There is even a dog park with fun climbing structures for your furry friend!
There are so many things to do at Whistlestop Park all year.
The playground is large and inviting, including a secondary smaller area for toddlers. Both playgrounds feature slides and climbing structures and are over mulch. There are also regular and baby swings.
The large community center is excellent for indoor fun. It includes a gym, reading area, gathering rooms, kitchen - and lots of windows for sunlight.
Stop by the catch-and-release pond and you're sure to get some Bluegill - maybe even a Perch. With this pond on premises, wandering toddlers and children may get curious so beware.
The ballfields are well maintained - and often very busy with team sports.
Byron Center often hosts special events like Trunk or Treating or Easter egg hunts here.
Some areas of the park can get very damp so watch out for mud.
Placards telling a story have been placed around the walkway.
Pavilion with picnic tables on-site.
