While Belle Isle can be considered part of a Detroit vacation, this historic Michigan state park is a destination in itself.
The park has an aquarium, a conservatory, and a nature center.
Belle Isle even has the only marble lighthouse in America. With its seven miles of shoreline, three lakes, and a lagoon, Belle Isle is a mesmerizing botanical wonderland.
It’s one of the prettiest day trips in Michigan.

Grand Rapids is Michigan’s second largest city and is just an hour away from the majestic shores of Lake Michigan.
